Anti-social behaviour in Christchurch
BCP Council recognise that Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) can have a negative impact on the quality of life to both residents and visitors in Christchurch. We are committed to working in partnership with residents and agencies to ensure a positive approach is taken to tackle and not tolerate issues of concern.
The Community Safety Team works to the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Reports of ASB to the Community Safety Team will be assessed to determine if it is something we have the power to deal with. The guidance document gives further details.
Unfortunately there may be some incidents which might be perceived as anti-social but the council does not have the powers to deal with it. In these cases the complainant will be given details of other services or agencies that may be able to offer help and support.
The council, police, housing providers, family partnership zones, fire service and other key agencies meet regularly to discuss issues of anti-social behaviour and wider community safety issues.
If you have any queries or would like to discuss issues relating to anti-social behaviour you should contact us.
