We are delighted to offer Open Family Swim Sessions. As shown on our timetable, we have introduced a number of open sessions where you can book a specific pool (main or small) and attend a session along with other family groups.
Please kindly note the following with regards to Open Family Swim Sessions:
  • There is a maximum of 30 people in the large pool at once and 10 in the small pool.
  • You will not be allowed to change pools during the session.
  • Each household can only book a maximum of 6 people onto a single session. All participants must be booked onto the session including under fives.
  • Swim sessions are included in Swim Only and GSC memberships but additional household members will need to have their own account to book and pay.
  • Please arrive and leave 'swim ready'.

Staying COVID Secure whilst swimming at Two Riversmeet

Before leaving home and on your arrival at the centre

Do not come to the facility if you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 (temperature, cough, difficulty breathing, or anosmia e.g. loss of taste or smell).

Please arrive and leave BEACH STYLE :- turn up, swim, towel dry, cover up and leave.
* Arrive ready to swim (costume under clothing). Once you have finished your swim, leave the facility as soon as you can.
* We encourage swimmers to shower directly before leaving home, and wear a swim hat (this helps us maintain the water quality).
 * Ensure you have pre booked and paid for your session on line before arriving.

At the facility
* Use hand sanitiser stations wherever made available.
* Check in at reception.
* Please follow the one way system we have in place. This system has been extended throughout poolside.
* Our changing rooms are remaining closed at the moment. Please change and leave your belongings on poolside on a clearly marked spot / chair (Do not  bring valuables).

Whilst swimming
* There will be a maximum of 6 people allowed per lane.
* Choose your lane using the fast, medium and slow signs and by watching those already swimming.
* All swimmers must swim anti-clockwise.
 * Please do not overtake whilst swimming.
 * Before pushing off at each turn, check to see if anyone faster is approaching.
 * Do not make physical contact with other participants.
 * If using equipment such as kick boards or pull buoys, consider moving to a slower lane temporarily (if space) so you do not hinder others swimming full strokes.
 * Always attempt to maintain appropriate social distance between yourself and another swimmer.

Direction
Please follow the directional lane signs, swimming anti-clockwise and move across to the appropriate side of the lane for each length.

Strokes
Wide strokes such as butterfly should be avoided when the lanes become busy. If you change to a slower stroke as part of your session, think about moving lanes.

Resting
Whether stopping for a rest or catching your breath after completing your swim, please be mindful that others using the lane will want to keep on swimming without stopping; so keep yourself to the edge of the lane allowing others to turn at the wall, turning head away and allowing others to maintain social distancing measures. (no chit chat)

Stay hydrated by bringing your own ‘pre-filled’ water bottle on to poolside during your swim.

When you finish swimming
* Please towel dry on the poolside.
* It is imperative that you adhere to strict safeguarding policies and DO NOT undress on poolside.
* Cover up in a dressing gown, towel gown, dry robe, onesie, bath robe, towel cape.
* Follow the one way system we have in place to exit the facility (still wearing your costume).

Respect
* People of different standards and abilities will use the pool. Please respect their right to enjoy their swim.
* Spend as little time as possible on the poolside, whilst maintaining safe levels of distance.

Inclusion and disabled users
* Those who are high risk or shielding should follow the medical guidance issued to them at all times.
* Please contact us in advance if you require the use of disabled facilities, including disabled changing and pool pods/hoists. This will avoid multiple users needing to use the disabled facilities at the same time and allow time for the changing facilities and equipment to be cleaned before they may be needed again.
