Reopening of Two Riversmeet Leisure Complex from (earliest date) 12/4/2021.

In response to the current international Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent government instruction, Two Riversmeet Leisure Complex has been closed to the public from the end of 4th January 2021.

We have now been given a timeline to work towards with regards to how and when we can safely reopen our facility and recommence the delivery of our services.  This is as follows but is obviously subject to change under government guidelines:

TIMELINE

Unfreezing of Your Account

All customer accounts will be ‘unfrozen’ from 12 April 2021. Your membership terms and conditions will remain  the same as pre-lockdown and you will be able to use the facilities in the centre as specified above as you did previously. Your membership card, web booking password and member privileges will work exactly as they did before lockdown. We will be on hand if you’ve forgotten your password, lost your card or need any help to get back into the swing of things.

Remaining ‘Frozen’.

If you wish to remain frozen because you are not ready to return to the centre on medical grounds or perhaps are shielding, we are happy to keep your membership frozen for now. If you wish to remain frozen, you must advise us of the reason and provide any relevant medical certificates to back up your request in writing to 2RMAdmin@bcpcouncil.gov.uk. This request must be submitted before Monday 5th April 2021.

Direct Debit Memberships

All direct debit memberships were frozen as soon as we went into lockdown. The majority of our direct debit customers had made a payment on 1st January which was retained. No further direct debit payments were taken during lockdown.

The payment retained will be used against membership fees owed for the period 12th April 2021 – 30th April 2021. To compensate for the short month, we will reduce the payment that we take on May 1st or first working day after (May’s subscription payment) by 33%. You will therefore pay a third less on your subscription in May. This will happen automatically. There is no need to contact your bank.

Your monthly subscription will return to its regular amount when we take the DD on June 1st or first working day after (June’s subscription).

Upfront memberships

All up front memberships were also frozen on 4th January. We will calculate the number of days that your membership would have been valid for and we will automatically add the lost days onto your account before we reopen. This will ensure that you receive the correct number of days that you have paid for in advance and your end date will be extended.

Swim Academy

Swim Academy customers all pay by direct debit and again, these were frozen on 4th January. Our Swim Academy will recommence on 19th April and all accounts will be ‘unfrozen’. Many of our customers made the payment at the beginning of January and of course, this payment will be used against the April monthly subscription charge.

As you will not have received the full month’s service, your May payment will be reduced by 66%. The schedule is as follows:

We are pleased to announce that our changing facilities will be reopening for all sessions apart from Swim Academy and Swim Clubs. Due to the large numbers of customers accessing the pool at this time, we do not feel it could be managed with high levels of safety or with the appropriate social distancing measures that we must implement to keep you safe. We will update you when this situation changes.

Our wetside changing rooms have been redecorated during lockdown and we hope you enjoy the improved new look and feel.

Car Park and Passes

CarParkPermitOffer

You can now buy a reduced rate car park pass for the leisure centre car park. These can be purchased over the counter or online here

Parking services have kindly frozen all the passes previously purchased during lockdown and will be in touch with all of the permit holders directly to advise them of when their permit will be reactivated. If you have any concerns regarding your passes, please kindly contact parking services directly on: parking@bcpcouncil.gov.uk

You may have seen that the car park at the front of the centre is currently being used as a Covid Testing Centre. Whilst a good number of parking spaces are still available for 2RM customers, please note there is also an overflow car park adjacent to the regular one behind the centre (Civic Centre Car Park). This car park can also be used by permit holders and 2RM customers.
