Apply for or renew your Blue Badge


Applying or renewing for yourself, or on behalf of someone

Before you start:

You’ll need the following to apply for or renew your Blue Badge:

  • the details of your current Blue Badge (if you have one)
  • a digital or signed photo
  • your National Insurance number
  • proof of identification
  • proof of residency

Applying on behalf of an organisation

Some organisations may be eligible if they care for and transport disabled people, who themselves meet the eligibility criteria for a badge. If you are looking to make an application as an organisation please complete the above process or email us for an application form. 

Applying on behalf of a terminally ill patient

GPs, Consultants and specialist nurses (e.g. palliative care) can submit a fast-track application on behalf of a terminally ill patient with a prognosis of 12 months or less. 

Fast-track applications don't require a photo or payment. Once we receive the completed form from the healthcare professional, the badge will be sent to the patient's home address within 15 working days.
