What is shared reading? Adults, as well as children enjoy being read to, and our shared reading groups give everyone the opportunity to enjoy a good story, in regular friendly sessions.
Each group is led by a volunteer, or staff member who reads stories and poetry aloud, in bite sized snippets, with everyone invited to explore, discuss and comment as the theme unfolds. Pioneered by The Reader, shared reading is for everyone, from well-read to never-read.
Visit the Reading Passport website for details of regional groups, events and news. You can download the Reading Passport app from App Store and Play Store platforms.
Shared Reading is dementia-friendly and suitable for visually impaired adults.
