Coronavirus (COVID-19): change to service

Following advice from the government regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we have started reopening our libraries, see the latest Library service information

As a library member, you can check out as many magazines, comics and graphic novels as you like to download or to read online and they're all completely free of charge. There are more than 100 magazine titles available, including Auto Express, BBC Good Food, Gardener's World, Hello! & The Economist.

To borrow, you can either login to the Libby App or download the free Libby app from the Apple store (for iOS 9+ users) or Google Play (for Android 5.0+ users). Customers using a Windows or Mac computer or a Chromebook can log on at the Libby App. There is also an Overdrive App which Kindle Fire users will need to use as the Libby app is not yet compatible with the Kindle Fire.

Login using your library membership number a 4 digit PIN.

New issues are often released at the same time as the print edition and are ready for immediate download to your:

  • iPad
  • iPhone
  • iPod Touch
  • Android
  • Kindle Fire HD/HDX

Sign up to access e-magazines

You will need your library card number and PIN to set up your account. Once you've set up your account, you can also download an app to your device to read magazines offline.
