Apply, renew or appeal school transport

Who we can help

Our home to school transport policy explains who is eligible. We can only provide free transport for those who meet the criteria.  

Please complete our travel assistance form if you meet the criteria.

When you should apply

If your child is starting at a new school in September 2021, you must submit your home to school transport application by 30/06/2021 to ensure that any transport will be in place for the start of term September 2021 should you be found eligible.  

If your child will be staying at the school they already attend, you will need to reapply for transport assistance by 18/06/2021 to see if this assistance will continue.

Reviews and appeals

If you disagree with our decision you can ask a review. Explain your reasons in writing to:

Quality and Commissioning
Town Hall
Bourne Avenue
BH2 6DY 

The original decision will then be reviewed by a senior council officer. They will write to you to let you know their decision. 

If you are unhappy with the decision made by the reviewing officer, you can lodge an appeal with the Appeals Committee.
