Pay Your Council Tax

There are several ways to pay your Council Tax, including setting up a Direct Debit, paying online or paying over the phone.

You will need:

  • your Council Tax reference number (top right hand corner of your bill)
  • bank or card details

Pay by Direct Debit

Setting up a Direct Debit is the safest and most convenient way to pay your Council Tax.

We offer a choice of payment dates: the 1st, 15th or 25th day of each month.

A Direct Debit can be cancelled at any time by contacting your bank or building society.

You can make a one-off debit or credit card payment online via our secure ePayment line.

You can make a one-off debit or credit card via our 24 hour automated payment service.

Please call 01202 639180 to make a payment over the phone.

Internet Banking or Standing Order

You can make arrangements with your bank or building society to set up regular payments to the council. You will need the following details:

  • bank sort code: 30-00-00
  • bank account no: 00270903
  • Council Tax reference

Request 12 monthly payments

To request making 12 monthly payments from April through to March, please contact us.
