Coronavirus (COVID-19): change to service

On advice from the government regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), some services have changed. Find the latest information and advice about our services for vulnerable adults in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

See further information about changes to services.

The role of Health and Wellbeing Board is to deliver greater democratic accountability and act as an important forum for the oversight and collective approach to health and wellbeing. This includes a particular focus on prevention at scale, reducing inequalities and supporting the integration of the health and care system.

The Board aims to deliver strong, credible and shared leadership across local organisational boundaries. Membership includes council officers, elected members, NHS officers, local GPs from the Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group and the voluntary sector.

The Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Board will have an increased role to play in the delivery of Integrated Care Systems, which will link closely with the development of a new Health and Wellbeing Strategy for the area.

All administration of the Health and Wellbeing Board is undertaken by BCP Council. Dates of formal HWB meetings, agendas and papers are to be agreed and will be published shortly.
