Report overflowing public litter bin or dog waste bin

Coronavirus (COVID-19): change to service

On advice from the government regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have reduced the number of litter and dog waste bin collections. This is to allow us to prioritise rubbish, food waste and recycling collections.

See further information about changes to services.

We have more than 1,200 litter and dog waste bins in our streets and parks and open spaces. These bins are regularly emptied and cleaned.

During bad weather or busy holidays it may not be possible to empty every bin before they get full.

If you find a full bin please do not leave your waste on top or by the bin where it might get blown around. Please take it to another bin with space or take it home with you.

Please ensure your waste is well pushed through the opening or lid into the bin. This will help prevent birds and other animals from pulling waste out of the bin.
