Recycling centre charges
Coronavirus (COVID-19): change to service
On advice from the government regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), Household Recycling Centres will be reopening on Monday 11 May with a number of safety measures.
See further information about changes to services.
These charges will apply to all householders visiting the household recycling centre that wish to drop off any of the specific items as detailed below.
Material that has come from commercial activity, including work carried out by a builder or tradesperson on your behalf, will not be accepted at all regardless of whether you are prepared to pay for it or not.
Although the council does not have to legally dispose of materials that do not come from the day running of a household, the introduction of modest charges has enabled us to continue providing disposal outlets for the materials outlined below.
